The Green Party member who proposed the party’s controversial “Zionism is racism” motion was once a “close friend” of an an-Qaida terrorist who plotted a suicide bomb attack at Heathrow Airport.

Lubna Speitan was referred to in US court documents as a “close friend” of Minh Quang Pham, a UK citizen jailed for 40 years in the US for backing Al Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) in 2011.
