Corfu has become Rightmove’s most-searched overseas destination thanks to BBC series Amanda & Alan’s Greek Job.
Searches for the Greek island have experienced a significant surge in interest following the programme which sees close friends Amanda Holden and Alan Carr embark on a property renovation.
Online queries for Corfu increased by 173% in January compared to the previous year, outstripping traditional hotspots such as Dubai, the Costa Del Sol and the Algarve.
Rightmove said it recorded a similar trend previously for searches in Spain, which it put down to the popularity of Amanda & Alan’s Spanish Job.
Holidaymakers can now book at the Spanish villa renovated by Carr and Holden, with prices varying from €225 (£196) per night in the high season from May to October, to €195 (£170) per night in the winter months.
Colleen Babcock, a property expert at Rightmove, said: “Time and again we see curious home hunters flock to see properties for sale in locations they’ve seen on TV or in films.”

Comedian Carr recently won The Celebrity Traitors, in a dramatic finale and, according to reports, Holden may appear on the next series.
The 54-year-old Britain's Got Talent judge is reportedly considering a stint on the reality tv gameshow hoping to secure a substantial sum for her chosen charity.
However, following in the footsteps of her close friend may prove difficult due to her demanding schedule.
A source told The Sun: “Filming for The Celebrity Traitors takes place in the Scottish Highlands at the same time that BGT semi-finals are filmed live in London on a Saturday night.
“It’s not impossible for her to be given some time off but it isn’t the only work she’d have to juggle. There’s her Heart Breakfast radio show as well as potentially more series of her show with Alan and her Beeb quiz show The Inner Circle.”
“But it’s something she’d really love to do if she can make it all work,” they added.
