Great British Bake Off host Matt Lucas has revealed he "really hopes" Nottingham Forest can turn around their season.
Lucas posted the comment in a tweet on Monday evening, after the Reds' 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at the City Ground. He also had words of praise for head coach Steve Cooper, who he says is "so impressive" in interviews with the media.
The former Shooting Stars and Little Britain actor presents Sky Sports' Fantasy Football and, while being an Arsenal supporter, took the time to acknowledge Cooper while revealing something of a soft spot for Forest. "Steve Cooper is so impressive in interviews," he wrote. "I really hope Forest turn it around."

While impressed by Cooper in the post-match interviews on Monday evening, Lucas will likely have been less enamoured with the football on show at the City Ground. It was a game Roy Keane has slammed for having a "lack of quality" from both sides, while many neutral supporters watching the game have been less than complimentary.
For Forest to fulfil Lucas's wish of turning their season around, results will have to start coming soon. They are no longer bottom of the Premier League table, with Leicester City now propping the division up, but they remain in the relegation zone.
Owner Evangelos Marinakis is pulling no punches and has made the early decision to sack scouting and recruitment chiefs George Syrianos and Andy Scott, according to reports.
