36.2 Latinos are eligible to vote this upcoming election, a number that makes them the most coveted demographic for both major political parties. Strategies for voter outreach have been all over the place, from Spanish-spoken ads to celebrity endorsements to even the use of the language of telenovelas.

The strategy seems to be paying off, as a recent BSP Research study revealed that almost 9 out of 10 Latino voters (87%) said they are certain to vote come November. Nevertheless, outreach is still ramping up and Voto Latino, the civic engagement organization focused on empowering Latino voters, recently revealed its latest strategy to reach the demographic, by announcing a partnership with popular Latino dating app "Chispa".

"Voto Latino is honored to work with Chispa to mobilize and register Latinos to vote in the upcoming elections. Over 36 million Latinos are eligible to vote in November and we are doubling-down on our efforts to inform them about the relevant issues for our community and to register them to vote," said Voto Latino Co-Founder and President Maria Teresa Kumar.

The partnership marks the third time the two organizations have worked together (2020 presidential elections and 2022 mid-terms), aiming to empower Gen Z Latino voters through a co-branded election hub, in-app features, and a sticker collection highlighting key issues.

The election hub allows users to register to vote and access important information on early and mail-in voting, as well as candidate details. Chispa will use its platform to direct users to the hub, aiming to increase voter participation.

In addition, Chispa and Voto Latino are introducing a new feature, the "Amor x Democracy" sticker collection, allowing users to display their stance on key political issues. The stickers include topics such as cost of living, immigration reform, and healthcare, topics which were discovered by Chispa during a recent survey.

Chispa's Senior Director of Brand Marketing, Julia Estacolchic, highlighted the app's take on the partnership:

"At Chispa, we're dedicated to empowering our users to make a community impact. Partnering with Voto Latino boosts voter registration and engagement while connecting users through shared values. Together, we aim to inspire a significant turnout in the 2024 election."
