A gran got a major fright after picking up what she thought was rubbish that had been dropped in her garden - but it was actually a two and a half foot long snake. Gill Peters was getting ready to go to bingo when she noticed what looked like rubbish in her garden, so she decided to go out and get rid of it.
To her shock, it wasn't rubbish at all - it was a snake. Gill, from Truro, is terrified of snakes and rang her daughter screaming, CornwallLive reports.
Surprisingly, Gill first noticed there was something in her garden three weeks ago but just assumed someone had thrown something onto her property as they went by. She didn't think anything more of it, until she noticed it again while she was getting ready to head out to bingo last Friday.
