Graeme Swann helping group of England spinners ahead of India tour

Graeme Swann England India Cricket New Delhi

NEW DELHI: Having previously experienced success as a cricketer, Graeme Swann is now taking on the role of mentoring a group of young England spinners. These promising talents are set to participate in a 'Shadow Tour' of India next month, with the possibility of a few making it to the senior team for the upcoming five-Test series scheduled to start on January 25.

Swann, an off-spinner, played a significant role in England's historic 2-1 series victory against India in 2012-13 for the Anthony de Mello Trophy, claiming 20 wickets alongside Monty Panesar. This win marked a rare achievement for England, as they had previously won a Test series in India in 1984-85, ending a 27-year drought.
