Graeme Souness to reveal what's next after Liverpool legend's Sky Sports exit

Liverpool legend Graeme Souness is expected to reveal what's next during an appearance on the BBC Breakfast show on Monday morning (May 22).

Souness needs no introduction at Anfield and beyond for his successes as a player and manager before later turning his attention to the studio. He spent close to two decades as a popular and sharp-tongued pundit for Sky Sports before his departure was confirmed last month.

However, it appears the Scot has already decided on his next step. Souness, 70, is due to appear on BBC Breakfast this Monday morning as he looks ahead to the future - sharing all from the sofa shortly after 8am.

Outlining that appearance, BBC presenter Sally Nugent took to Twitter on Sunday night. Her post appears to have created some mystery, too, as she told viewers to be "amazed" and "inspired" by the one-time Liverpool and Scotland midfielder, who also managed the Reds and Rangers - among others.

Writing on the social media platform, Nugent said: "When Graeme Souness left Sky, TV he didn't tell anyone what he's doing next. Join us tomorrow @BBCBreakfast to find out.

"Prepare to be amazed and maybe inspired, too. Graeme will be on the sofa just after 8am."

Addressing his Sky Sports departure in an emotional on-screen farewell last month, Souness said: "I was given an opportunity to do this and it was magnificent. It has just been the most fantastic time for me. I love football and l care about football and I worry about it going forward, but in Sky's in good hands."
