Graeme Souness has laid out the conditions for his night out with Jack Grealish after the England star took him up on his offer.
Grealish and Souness have been involved in a war of words, with the England international opting to hit back after criticism from the pundit. This culminated in Grealish calling Souness' bluff on the offer of a night out, while asking to bring Paul Pogba along as a +1.
The former Liverpool boss has now responded himself, keeping the back and forth going. He has previously been very vocal in his criticism of Pogba, who left Manchester United for Juventus over the summer after failing to win a Premier League title in his second spell at Old Trafford.
"I'd love a night out with Jack," talkSPORT pundit Souness had earlier said. "I’m not sure I could stay with him, but I’d enjoy a night out with him!".
"Let's do it!!" was Grealish's reply on social media. "As long as I can bring Pogba as a +1."
Writing for The Mail, Souness addressed the comments from the former Aston Villa man. "Great to see that Jack Grealish is up for a night out, which I said is something that I think I would enjoy very much," he said.
"I think he's replied to say 'let's do it', so long as he can bring along Paul Pogba as his +1. Well, that's very good to hear! You're on Jack. If I get to pick the venue and the wines, you bring along whoever you want. And by the way, you're picking up the bill!"

"I know before that he [Souness] used to say a lot of stuff about me not moving the ball quicker," Grealish said after the initial criticism from the pundit. "But when I’m playing for a manager like Pep Guardiola and he’s telling me to keep the ball as much as I can and have the balls to take it everywhere, then that is what I will try to do.
"Listen, if I am not playing well, I know within myself. I always watch my games back and I am very critical of myself. I know that there were games, especially in the second half of last season where I wasn’t at my best at all."
Grealish joined Manchester City for a club-record £100m in 2021, and had what many considered an underwhelming debut season before playing for England in a difficult run of Nations League games in June. The 27-year-old scored just three Premier League goals last season, but has already got off the mark this term in the 3-0 victory over Wolves before the international break.
