Graeme Souness has backed Darwin Nunez to be 'an outstanding success' at Liverpool this season following his summer transfer to the club.
The Reds striker recently made his first two appearances for the club following his £64million transfer from Benfica. Nunez played half an hour in the 4-0 defeat to Manchester United, and then a similar length of time in the 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
However, he endured frustrating moments in both games with a miss against United catching the eye. While in the win over Palace, Nunez was denied by goalkeeper Vicente Guaita with a close-range strike.
