Millions of mobile phones across the UK will receive a mass alert come 3pm on April 23, as the Government tests their brand-new public alert system.
The new tool has been created for use, should life-threatening situations arise - like floods and wildfires - and a rollout test will be conducted in exactly a week's time.
All people who have 4G and 5G mobile phones will receive the message, as well as a sound notification and vibration for up to 10 seconds - even should devices be on silent mode.
