Gordon Ramsay's tearful behaviour in lead up to Holly's wedding revealed amid Adam Peaty feud

Gordon Ramsay was incredibly emotional in the lead up to his daughter Holly’s wedding to Adam Peaty, Holly has revealed.

The influencer, 26, tied the knot with Olympic swimmer Peaty, 31, in a lavish ceremony at Bath Abbey on December 27.

Adam’s mother Caroline, father Mark, and brothers James and Richard did not attend the wedding following weeks of bitter public sparring.

And amid the fallout on the Peaty side, Holly revealed her celebrity chef dad Gordon, 59, would often “well up” while discussing his daughter’s upcoming nuptials.

Speaking to British Vogue in the weeks leading up to the wedding, she said: “Dad cries every time I talk about the wedding.”

Holly was the first of the six Ramsay children to walk down the aisle.

She recalled: “The other day I was asking him which car he and I would take to the church, and he welled up immediately.”

She revealed Gordon liked the idea of driving one of his sports cars to the church, although they eventually decided on a Rolls-Royce Phantom as it could better accommodate the long lace train of Holly’s Elie Saab gown.

Aside from walking Holly down the aisle, Gordon was heavily involved in the wedding breakfast at Kin House in Wiltshire.

“Dad has been extremely involved in the food,” Holly said, revealing he worked with his team at London’s Savoy Grill to design the menu.

She also shared that Gordon and her mother Tana have treated her and Adam to a luxurious honeymoon in Mauritius as a wedding present.

“We’re going to Mauritius to just lie by the sea – that was our wedding present from my parents. I had to tell Adam we weren’t basing our honeymoon around a 25-metre pool,” Holly dished.

Adam and Holly tied the knot at a ceremony full of celebrity attendees over the weekend, including the Ramsays’ family friends the Beckhams, presenter Dan Walker and chef Marcus Wareing.

Gordon reportedly waded into the family drama by making a dig at Adam’s parents during his wedding speech, according to The Sun.

He gushed at how beautiful Holly looked and told Adam he was a “lucky man”, adding: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.”

In a swipe at Adam’s absent parents, he then reportedly said: “Shame you don’t have the same.”

Gordon also said his wife Tana will “be a good mum to them both”, the outlet reported.

Adam reportedly failed to mention his family in his own speech, instead saying his swim coach Mel Marshall was “like a mum”.

He praised her for being his “everything”, and for “grounding and inspiring” him.

Reports of a feud among the Peatys first emerged when Caroline did not attend Holly’s star-studded hen do at Soho Farmhouse last month.

It was then claimed Adam’s parents were uninvited from Adam and Holly’s big day.

Adam’s aunt and several other family members called him out on social media for the apparent move.

Meanwhile, his brother James was arrested in November over allegations he sent threatening messages to his brother during his stag do in Budapest.
