Gordon Ramsay charging £275 a head for Christmas dinner – with drinks not included

Famous chef Gordon Ramsay is charging £275 a head to dine at one of his London restaurants on Christmas Day, and drinks aren't even included in the whopping total. Last year, the celebrity chef hit the headlines when he offered a festive menu set at the same eye-watering total. Now, he is again advertising a luxury dining experience that costs more than many families will spend on their entire Christmas food shop.

Diners should also note the price does not include drinks or the discretionary 15 per cent service charge. Available at Pétrus by Gordon Ramsay, the Christmas day sample menu features a number of decadent-sounding treats.

There's confit egg and lobster ravioli, followed by your choice of D over sole or Cumbrian venison, plus Brillat-Savarin, sorbet and hazelnut soufflé.

But if that doesn't suit your tastes, the chef has also pulled together an extravagant menu for The Savoy, which houses his popular grill, where the Christmas menu also comes in at £275 per person.

The seven-course menu features a number of options, including lobster and shellfish co cktail, beef Wellington, and Dover sole.

Then to satisfy your sweet tooth, there's the classic drink "Kir royale", plus a choice of Christmas pudding or Chestnut Mont Blanc. But once again, the prices listed do not include the discretionary 15 per cent gratuity.

Elsewhere, the chef does offer Christmas dinner for less, with his Mayfair-based bar and grill advertising a slightly cheaper option at £150 per person. Guests dining here can expect canapés, plus a starter, main and dessert of their choice.

When it comes to the main course, options include roast turkey plus trimmings, roast venison and an artichoke risotto, and like other locations, a discretionary 15 per cent service charge will also be added to the final bill.

If you are looking to celebrate New Year's Eve in style, three-Michelin star restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, also has you covered - but it will set you back an eye-watering £400 per person - and that doesn't even include drinks.
