Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid quick to praise crew member after 'technical issue' with MP

Susanna Reid was quick to praise a member of the Good Morning Britain crew on Tuesday, after they swiftly rushed into deal with a 'technical issue' that could have ruined an interview with Mark Harper

The Transport Secretary long-serving ITV host Susanna and her co-presenter Ed Balls for their second show of the week but, it became clear as soon as Harper appeared on screen that something wasn't quite right as Susanna told him: "We're just checking we've got your microphone in position and your ear piece in place," with Ed saying: "Go on, do what you need to do," as the crew member appeared in shot to try and sort the ear piece.

As the woman got to work, Susanna commented: "Well done to the assiduous staff member. I'm not sure who that is, but thank you very much indeed," with Ed quipping: "A starring role!"

Harper replied: "She dashed away very quickly!" before Ed joked: "She brings on your water and your towels, like Elvis Presley!"

Moving things along, Susanna then told Harper it was "vital," they'd sorted the glitch out, telling him: "Because, of course, the issues this morning are very serious,' as the headline 'Met Police: Broken and Rotten' appeared on the bottom of the screen.

In reference to what Susanna was alluding to, it was joined by the strapline 'Review days predatory behaviour has been allowed to flourish in force,' in light of a number of offences, the most serious being serving officer Wayne Couzens' kidnap and killing of Sarah Everard.
