Good Morning Britain's Robert Rinder hospitalised and requiring surgery hours after hosting ITV show

Robert Rinder has been sent many well wishes after ending up in hospital shortly after he hosted Good Morning Britain yesterday.

The TV host, also known as Judge Rinder, has presented the breakfast show many times and returned on Monday (February 13) to host alongside Ranvir Singh.

However, not long after the show ended Rob was left needing surgery in hospital.

The 44-year-old took to social media to post snaps of himself on telly and then in a medical gown while laying in a hospital bed.

He wrote: "Started the day holding politicians to account @gmb then meeting @lulukc and @therealsambora, ended it having a prolapsed disc jn my back healed.

"The challenge of life is that it can change at any moment….Hold on to joy wherever you find it…(feeling much better now.. thank you incredible medical staff) x."

Many viewers applauded Rinder for his questions to Labour Party Angela Rayner, where he asked her whether her party would be committed to reducing government spending.

During the discussion, Robert interrupted and said: "I’m so sorry, I’m going to get into terrible trouble on social media, I don’t really care – these are not difficult questions."

And again he added: "Cleaning up politics is important, I'm talking over you Angela Rayner because we don't have time, it's not a party political broadcast."
