Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley has announced he is taking a break from the show.
The veteran broadcaster fronted Wednesday's edition of the ITV news programme alongside Charlotte Hawkins. The two presented a jam-packed edition which mainly focused on the mounting cost of living crisis as energy prices are set to rise further than expected.
Richard grilled Education Secretary James Cleverly on why the Conservative government isn't doing more to help people during the crisis. The 66-year-old called Mr Cleverly out and claimed he avoided his co-host's question in the fiery row.

He said: "I have to hold you to an answer, and if you’re not answering the question, you will be interrupted." Richard let slip earlier in the show that it would be his last time in the show "for a while".
The broadcaster's admission came during a discussion on the impact of the heatwave, which has browned the grass in his garden. Charlotte issued advice for how he should tackle the issue by using soap and water.
Richard said he had adopted the technique last week, but wanted to show off the results on today's show as he prepares to take a break from his hosting duties
He said: "We have a result as we started doing this last Tuesday or Wednesday. It's a bit earlier but I'm not on the show for a while, so I thought I'd show you what we've got so far."
