Good Morning Britain paused as star reduced to tears as they confirm exit and told 'we love you'

Good Morning Britain's latest episode was briefly paused as the show's stars took time to bid farewell to one of their colleagues. Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard were back at the helm of the ITV news programme on Friday (May 19).

And the pair took time out of the planned programme, which included delivering the latest news headlines to viewers, heated debates and the latest entertainment gossip, to pay tribute to Pip Thomson as she wrapped up her time on the programme after 10 years.

"We just want to say goodbye to one of the team who is leaving us," Ben said. "The amazing Pip Tomson, how long have you been with us Pip?" he asked as the camera panned to show the presenter sat the other side of the studio
