A Good Morning Britain guest failed to make it to the studio today - after having "too many drinks last night".
The ITV show was hosted by Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins today, as they were joined in the studio by the likes of Richard Arnold, Andi Peters and other popular Good Morning Britain stars. As talk turned to a new show, called Fresh Cuts, which aims to champion Black filmmakers, Ben had an admission to make about one of the guests.
As the show returned following a break, host Ben Shephard introduced the segment, as he said: "As part of Black History Month, ITV is releasing a new series called Fresh Cuts, giving up and coming Black filmmakers the opportunity to get their first film commissioned."
"The first episode, Everyone Can Rap, focuses on changing the perception of rap music and features rapper and presenter Youngs Teflon, trying to teach three ordinary people to write and perform rap music," Charlotte Hawkins added.
After showing a clip from the show, Ben admitted he was "panicking just thinking about it" as he introduced the guests including Karen, a choir mistress, film director Daniel Dempster and Youngs Teflon, who joined them from home.
Jokingly scolding Youngs, Ben addressed the famed rapper at first, as he said: "Rapper Youngs Teflon joins us from home because he didn't get in the car because it was his birthday last night. Is that right Youngs?"
"I'm sorry guys, man, I had too much of a good night last night," as Ben and Charlotte then joked they would "let him off".
Everyone Can Rap will see three ordinary people have a week to learn, record and perform a rap.
"Everyone Can Rap sees everyday people taught to rap as a form of expression, using an immersive experience. Three ordinary people are guided by celebrated rapper Youngs Teflon, as they demonstrate the use of rap in a positive and pioneering way," a synopsis from the show reveals, "Karen is a middle-aged choir mistress who suffers from anxiety. Daniel has autism and a speech and language disorder. Nicole is a single mum who has struggled to find her voice. Can they write and perform a rap in front of an audience?"
