The Channel 4 show Gogglebox often has many hilarious moments, like when Welsh woman Shirley divulges the filthy donations handed to her charity shop, and cast member George Baggs had his own funny moment where he admitted he didn't know where butter came from. Part of the Baggs family, who joined the show in 2020, the 19-year-old lacked some farming knowledge.
Talking to his family about the essential fridge item George said: “I thought butter was butter" as he tried to explain to the family he thought butter came out of cows after they were milked, not realising butter was created from milk. He said: “It thought the milk came out and the butter came after the milk.”
His mum, dad, and brother were all shocked at his explanation, Mum Lisa exclaimed: "Oh my good God alive!" and checked his knowledge about other food such as potatoes. It was at this point that George revealed he thought tomatoes grew underground and his older brother Joe added they grew on trees.
