Gogglebox star Ellie Warner is currently suffering a health condition that many new mums face.
The show regular has bravery opened up on her battle with mastitis after giving birth to son Ezra earlier this month. Ellie first appeared on the Gogglebox sofa with sister Izzie after joining years back and has since shot to fame on the Channel 4 show.
But Ellie has now revealed that she is suffering from mastitis, a a painful issue related to breastfeeding when the breast becomes swollen, hot and painful. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, she spoke about her condition while trying out different slings for her newborn.
As reported by Birmingham Live, she wrote: "Today at the sling library! Can’t wait to take it out for a test drive. Got a bit of mastitis. but it’s getting better now thank god."
Mastitis is most common in breastfeeding women and does not usually need medical treatment. Replying, Lota said: "Thank you for normalising breastfeeding. "Another follower Kate said: "You’re looking absolutely wonderful. Motherhood suits you."
"That is the most beautiful picture x put a comb inside a cloth and in the shower draw the comb from the outside of the breast towards the nipple it really helps with mastitis x you are doing an incredible job breast feeding," Jan said.
Roch said: "Feed feed feed and feed again from the affected boob - antibiotics will clear any infection but not move the blockage, baby will do that bit."
Andie said: "Mastitis is the worse. I ended up feeding my son from just one boob and I looked like someone who could only afford one silicon implant."
"Cold cabbage leaves works wonders, warm flannels and hand express to realise pressure helps! What a beautiful natural photo," said another.
"Standing in the shower with the spray down on the affected patch of breast is really effective at helping to clear the ducts, you’re doing amazing but do reach out to your health visitors if you need anything," Steph said.
Ellie welcomed her child with boyfriend Nat Eddleston. "Sweet baby Ezra. He has made our lives complete. We love you so much son," she wrote at the time of announcing the arrival of the tot.
