Samuel Monroe Jr, the actor known for his roles in Menace II Society and The Players Club, has died aged 52 after a prolonged battle with meningitis, his family said.
Monroe died on Wednesday, 26 August, in hospital in California, according to reports citing his mother, Joyce Patton. Patton announced his death in a Facebook post on Thursday, writing: 'But today God called him home.' She asked supporters to pray for the family, particularly Monroe's three children.
