GMC victory: BJP gives credit to 'double engine development model'

GUWAHATI: BJP on Sunday gave credit to its "double engine development model" for the overwhelming victory in Guwahati Municipal Corporation(GMC) polls, its seventh election victory in a row in Assam.

State BJP spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Pabitra Margherita gave credit to organisational prowess of the dedicated BJP workers and the "double-engine development model" of PM Narendra Modi and CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. “Definitely, the BJP karyakartas of Assam have dedicated this landslide victory in the GMC election to Modiji, Amit Shahji and JP Naddaji. Without the development model set by Modiji in the country and Himanta Biswa Sarma in Assam, such a mammoth victory would not have been possible,” he said.
