GUWAHATI: The civic office is waiting to crack down on the menace of illegal parking fees at malls and cinema halls after the new mayor takes charge. Though the Guwahati Municipal Corporation last year had ordered that these commercial establishments would not charge parking fees, the practice is rampant now.
Many consumers told TOI they have lodged complaints with the GMC regarding this practice which violates the order of the civic body.
