Ben Shephard almost had a completely different career path during his days as a university student, he has explained.
The broadcaster who is known for anchoring Good Morning Britain has revealed he almost became a stripper in order to make cash while studying at the University of Birmingham.
However, Ben, 48, explained his now wife, Annie, soon put a stop to his wild thoughts and managed to persuade the news star and a friend out of getting their clothes off.
During a discussion, Ben also joked he could have been cast in the new Magic Mike film which is based on Channing Tatum's career as a stripper.
Speaking on That Gaby Roslin Podcast, the host said: "Oh, no you've done that."
Before Ben went on to explain: "I have done that, actually. Me and Sam, my housemate - we decided to get some money. We were going to be strippers at the end of University time.
"And we were going to do some of the sports teams' end-of-season parties to get some money."
He added: "Annie talked us out of it at the time and… I'm not sure that was such a good idea."
However, Ben went on to divulge that he and Sam were close to performing for the girls across team at their end-of-season party.
"We did get asked to do the lacrosse girls' end-of-season do and we were all for it," he said before adding that he had been attempting to teach his housemates "moves" ahead of their raunchy dance.
But his now-wife, Annie, who he tied the knot with in 2004 soon put a stop to their decision, with Ben explaining she said: "You are kidding, aren't you? You know you're not going to do this. As much as this seems like a really good idea to the two of you, you are not going to do this."
"So that was one thing she stopped me doing and she's always so encouraging," he said following the admission.
Ben and Annie met when she was studying philosophy and he was studying Dance, Drama and Theatre Arts, having initially dreamt of becoming an actor.
Elsewhere, the news anchor left fans confused when he appeared to be absent from his regular seat on Good Morning Britain on Thursday.
Some viewers were even concerned that ITV was "running out of staff" due to the major switch-up in the panel each week as they took to social media to share their confusion.
