Adil Ray and Kate Garraway were slammed by Good Morning Britain viewers on Friday as they grilled shadow health secretary Wes Streeting on the Labour Party's recent controversial ads.
The Labour Party has come under fire over a series of ads that attacked the current government but viewers were not happy with Kate and Adil for interrupting Mr Streeting as he defended the campaign.
Adil began: "What feels really unreasonable for a lot people and even a lot of Labour supporters is the sort of gutter politics that the Labour Party has become apart of in the last couple of weeks, and I refer to the adverts that are popping up on social media and in various other places."
The ads included statement such as: "Do you think adults convicted of sexually assaulting children should go to prison? Rishi Sunak does," and: "Do you think the super-rich deserve a tax loophole more than cancer patients deserve life-saving treatment? Rishi Sunak does."
Mr Streeting replied: "I make no apology for holding the Conservatives to account for their record of 13 years in government but also the choices they continue to make. One of the ways we're going to be able to deliver the biggest expansion of staff in NHS history is by abolishing the non-dom tax loophole that benefits the very wealthy."
However, Adil interrupted the Labour MP and pressed him again on the ads' choice of language.
"Do you honestly think that the Prime Minister of this country thinks that adults convicted of sexually assaulting children shouldn't go to prison?" Adil asked as Mr Streeting hit back: "Well ask him because he's got to explain otherwise if he doesn't believe that why does he allow 4,500 who are convicted of sexually assaulting children to walk free?"
Adil interrupted the Labour MP yet again as viewers hit out at both of the GMB hosts over the clash.
One frustrated viewer tweeted: "Why don't they challenge the TORY ministers who come on their show daily and lie through their teeth," and another said: "Challenging is fine, but fgs let the guy answer one question without Adil shouting over him #gmb."
"@GMB Can Kate please stop interrupting and talking over guests when they are talking?@kategarraway," a third wrote.
Another added: "@GMB presenters will continue to ask the wrong questions as council elections approach. Labour ads accurately reflect the result of Tory policies. Sunak is the PM in charge of Tory policy. Why can't Sunak be held accountable?"
