Glenn Irwin breathed a sigh of relief after walking away from a major crash in round three of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Donington National on Sunday.
The Carrickfergus rider crashed out and took a heavy fall after English rider Leon Haslam high-sided on the exit at Starkey’s in Race three of the meeting.
Irwin had nowhere to go and a safety car was called while Haslam also raced to check on the Northern Irishman after he collided with a safety barrier.
