Glazers explore takeover proposals
Manchester United co-chairmen Joel Glazer and Avram Glazer are exploring the possibility of buying out their four siblings on the club board as prospective investors prepare to submit their proposals.
A soft deadline (Friday, February 17) has been set for interested parties to formally outline their strategy three months after the much-maligned American owners announced they had started a process "to explore strategic alternatives to enhance the club's growth".

Avram Glazer was in Dubai last week amid interest in selling a minority stake to Qatari investors. He principally visited the Gulf state to watch the cricket franchise he owns - the Desert Vipers - who lost in the International League T20 final against Gulf Giants on Sunday night.
Coach praised for Rashford influence
Manchester United coach Benni McCarthy has been identified as a major catalyst for Marcus Rashford hitting such sensational form in front of goal this campaign.
Rashford, 25, has been re-energised since Erik ten Hag was appointed as manager and a decisive strike against Leeds was his 21st goal in all competitions this season. He also netted three times for England at the World Cup in Qatar as the forward continues to go from strength to strength for club and country.
While the Dutchman and his tactical input has, certainly, enabled Rashford to thrive, one pundit feels a telling backroom appointment has also contributed to that upturn with McCarthy arriving at United shortly after Ten Hag headed in from Ajax.
