Glastonbury: when will the resale be? Everything we know this far

It’s a sad fact of life that Glastonbury is one of the most difficult festivals to get tickets for. On 17 November, general ticket sales sold out in 35 minutes – not quite a record, but close.

"Tickets for Glastonbury 2025 have now Sold Out,” the festival posted on X. "Thanks to everyone who bought one and sorry to those who missed out, on a morning when demand was much higher than supply.

"There will be a resale of any cancelled or returned tickets in spring 2025."

The festival, which takes place this year between June 25-29, will see 200,000 punters head down to Worthy Farm in Somerset for a week of revelry and music.

Now, we also have a lineup: it appears that Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo and The 1975 will be headlining this year, with support from artists like Charli xcx, Doechii, Loyle Carner and Raye. Oh, and Rod Stewart will be showing up on the legends slot.

When is the Glastonbury resale?

While Glastonbury hasn’t revealed the dates yet, we can work with what we know from previous years. The time window in which punters need to pay the entirety of their ticket price is April 1-7 this year, so we can expect that it’ll happen in the weeks after that.

Last year, the resale took place on April 18 (for coach tickets) and April 21 (for general admission).

This year, it’s likely to be April 16 and 20 – but be warned: people who get tickets in the resale need to pay the entire price in full, which amounts to £355 plus a £5 booking fee – and the price of the coach, if you’ve bought coach tickets.

And of course, there are other ways to get into the festival. Glastonbury has a strong tradition of volunteering, and charities like Oxfam and WaterAid often recruit thousands of volunteers to help run water stations, man the gates and staff the Oxfam charity shops. And there’s always the chance to join the festival’s army of litter pickers.

Otherwise, set your alarms for April, and get ready to do battle with the dreaded green bars of doom.
