Glastonbury Festival has announced its first 2022 line-up with many more acts and attractions in the pipeline.
Two of the three Pyramid headliners have been announced, with Paul McCartney playing on the Saturday and Kendrick Lamar the Sunday. Billie Eilish will headline the Friday night slot, with Diana Ross also set to appear.
It is the first time the festival has gone ahead in two years after being forced to cancel in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Posting on Twitter, Glastonbury Festival made the announcement alongside a poster of the first set of performing artists, saying: "Here is the first Glastonbury Festival line-up poster, which includes our final two Pyramid stage headliners: @PaulMcCartney (Saturday) and @kendricklamar (Sunday).
"Many more acts and attractions still to be announced."
Releasing its first wave of acts online, the festival confirmed Foals, Lorde, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Olivia Rodrigo, Wolf Alice and Years & Years will also perform at Worthy Farm in Somerset this summer.
The line-up includes new acts such as Arlo Parks, Doja Cat, Easy Life, Fontaines DC and Griff alongside more established names including Pet Shop Boys, Crowded House, Primal Scream and Supergrass.
But many people reacted negatively to the lineup, with some calling the line-up 'shocking' and 'underwhelming'.
One user wrote: "Pretty naff line up and headliners, best year was 2009."
Another wrote: "That is shocking waiting years for the come back of Glastonbury and these are the headliners."
But not everyone agreed with the negative reaction and quickly came to defend the 2022 line-up, arguing that Glastonbury has chosen some of the biggest and most trending artists of the year.

One user wrote: "Times change, if Glastonbury stuck to only booking acts you like their attendance would drop quite considerably. Billie Eilish is the biggest act in the world right now, and Glastonbury had her on before she was famous."
Another user wrote: "For people complaining there are over 50 stages at Glastonbury if you can't find something you like on one of those maybe it's just not the place for you?"
Glastonbury 2022 is set to take place on June 22 and run until June 26.
