A team of Glasgow van drivers are giving up their free time to transport donations for those affected by the Ukraine invasion.
While hundreds of Glaswegians have been collecting and donating items, there have been difficulties getting the items into the hands of those who need them.
After noticing there was an issue, Filip Rolek - a manager with DCS Logistics - decided to use his skills and staff to help.
Dozens of drivers for the company had been visiting charities and loading their vans up with donations and transporting them to the main depot in preparation for the journey to Poland.
They are now taking the items all the way to Poland to ensure they're in place for those caught up in the humanitarian crisis.
A fundraiser has been set up to help pay for petrol costs to help the drivers reach their destination with money also been donated to charities.
Jack Gardiner, 35, set up the fundraiser to help his colleagues at DCS Logistics.
He said: "Due to being evacuated across borders into neighbouring countries, hundreds and thousands of Ukrainian children are somewhere strange to them and, in many cases, alone without their parents.
"The aim is to raise funds to purchase supplies, support those already doing their bit, and cover shipping and logistical costs. This particular fundraiser will be going towards those children evacuated to Poland, where already hundreds of everyday people like me and you are doing their best to help with what they can.
"This includes several individuals loading up on supplies here in the UK and making the drive to Poland to deliver straight to the communities that need it most
"Each day 3-5 vans will make 2-3 trips carrying as much as they can carry. The fundraiser is to cover their fuel costs which as you know due to the current situation is an ever-growing expense. We hope to raise more than the initial £2000 goal to not only cover the fuel costs of the transportation but to also give what we can to the charities themselves, so far, the £1000+ we have raised comes from our network of drivers chipping in."
