Glasgow comedian Larry Dean shared a TikTok video of a part of his standup set, and it's since been viewed almost a million times.
The comic uploaded the video on July 7 with the caption "English people talk funny". The routine is about a recent trip he took down south, and starts out with him stating: "It's good to be back gigging in Glasgow, I can talk normally now."
He then jokes about English people's reaction to his strong accent. The comedian goes on to say: "They always make fun of our accent, and don't realise how weird they sound."

Dean then goes onto talk about the "rhythm of an English person talking", while impersonating a posh southern accent. Roars of laughter can be heard throughout the video, and especially the end when he reaches the end of the routine.
Since being posted, the TikTok has been viewed more than 826,000 times, and has received almost 136,000 likes and nearly 400 comments. Users were quick to discuss the "accuracy" of the set.
One said: "Oh, this is a good one! Linguistic physical comedy!"
"This is my favourite genre of comedy omg," a second agreed.
A third joked: "Thanks for making me hyper aware how I probably talk, I’ll never get the stairs analogy out of my head now."
"I find this offensively accurate," a fourth wrote, while a fifth echoed: "The Accuracy".
Meanwhile, a sixth commented: "I love your accent wayy better".
"As an english person living in Scotland, I 1000% agree," revealed an eighth.
A ninth stated: "Omg I'd never thought of my accent like this, this is 100% true."
