An influencer who filmed a "Hot Take" interview with Kamala Harris chose not to publish it, pointing to its lack of substance and complex political context surrounding their discussion.

Kareem Rahma, known for his TikTok series "Subway Takes" where he interviews everyday people about quirky opinions, recently expanded his content to include political figures.

In August, Rahma sat down with Vice President Harris where he initially intended to discuss lighter topics like shoes on airplanes, but found himself discussing bacon, a subject that made him uncomfortable as a Muslim who doesn't eat pork.

When Harris said her "hot take" was that "bacon is a spice" Rahma simply disagreed, the New York Times reported. Harris pressed the matter saying: "Think about it, it's pure flavor."

Eventually, Rahma paused the interview to ask Harris to get back to the topic of shoeless passengers on the planes. However, he claimed that only prompted her to discuss anchovies on pizza.

Rahma felt a deep personal obligation to discuss the Gaza conflict, but he had agreed with the Harris campaign beforehand not to bring up the violence. Ultimately, Rahma felt uneasy about the timing of the conversation and also found the chat "boring," leading him to not publish it.

"It was so complicated because I'm Muslim and there's something going on in the world that 100 percent of Muslims care about," Rahma told the outlet. "And then they made it worse by talking about anchovies. Boring!"

The influencer's decision not to publish it has sparked conversations about the appropriateness of discussing trivial matters in light of serious global issues.
