Glasgow Subway ticket prices are set to increase in the new year.
SPT has revealed subway fares are set to rise in 2025 by five pence for an adult single journey – making it £1.65 using a Smartcard, and £1.85 for a single-use ticket.
Meanwhile, an adult daily fare cost, with a Smartcard, will increase by 10p to £3.20.
The travel firm has also said an adult return fare with a disposable ticket will be £3.50, an increase of 10p, and a daily disposable ticket will now be £4.45, an increase of 15p.
The 28-day season ticket will now be £53.50 when purchased online or £58 when bought in stations; the six-month ticket increases by £5 to £265 online or £285 in stations; and the adult annual ticket increases to £485 online or £500 in station.
SPT said prices for child subway season tickets will be unchanged.
Passengers using Subway pay-as-you-go credit on a Smartcard will continue to get the "best prices available", including all-day travel for a capped price of £3.20.
Additionally, park-and-ride tickets, which include return Subway travel, will increase by 20p to £7.90 in the new year.
Short-term parking only at any of the Subway's three park-and-ride sites on Bridge Street, Shields Road, or Kelvinbridge, will increase by five pence for 30 minutes and will now be £1.05.
Parking for one hour will increase to £2.05 and for two will be £3.10.
The travel company says park-and-ride seven-day season tickets will now be £37 while the 28-day park-and-ride season ticket will be £139.
For those looking to purchase a six-month park-and-ride season ticket, they will need to pay £695 in the new year, while an annual ticket will cost £1320.
All of the price increases will come into effect from Thursday, January 2, 2025.
A spokesperson for SPT said: "All increases were approved by the SPT Partnership Board."
