A pervert who sexually abused a woman at a Glasgow subway station has been forced to cough up £1,000.
Alistair McMillan attacked his victim at the stairs in Buchanan Street station in the city centre on August 10, 2021. The creep, aged 38, also hurled 'indecent comments of a sexual nature towards her'.
British Transport Police (BTP) launched a probe into the sick attack and released CCTV footage in a bid to hunt him down. McMillan, from Priorscroft in Torphichen, West Lothian, later handed himself into police, the Daily Record reports.

The beast did not know his victim.
On Friday, July 8, McMillan was sentenced at Glasgow Sheriff Court over the attack after being convicted of offences under two sections of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009. The sheriff handed McMillan a one year community payback order, and ordered him to pay the target of his sick attack £1,000 in compensation.
And now, the BTP have welcomed his conviction and subsequent punishment.
BTP Detective Constable Andrew Shields said: “Sexual offending will absolutely not be tolerated on the rail network. Everyone has the right to travel and feel safe."
He added: “We will always take reports of sexual offences seriously when they are reported to us. In this case following our media appeal, McMillan handed himself in to the police. We were then able to bring him before the courts.
“If you are ever a victim of a sexual offence or sexual harassment on the railway network, you can text us discreetly on 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40. In an emergency always call 999.”
