A street linking the city centre and east end of Glasgow has been closed off by police following a serious road traffic accident.
Duke Street has been cordoned off between Bellgrove Street and Whitehall Street while police investigate the incident, which took place just before midday.
Police confirmed a serious road crash has taken place, with an ambulance crew at the scene. Drivers have been asked to avoid the area and use an alternative route, reports Glasgow Live.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police have been called to a road crash on Duke Street, Glasgow and officers are at the scene."
