Glasgow school and nursery evacuated by police after bomb threat call

Children were evacuated from a Glasgow primary and nursery school this afternoon amid reports of a 'bomb' threat.

Police descended on St Mary's Primary School and adjacent Maryhill Park Nursery School on Kilmun Street in the Maryhill area after the threat was reportedly made to the school by telephone around 1:50pm.

Local reports suggest staff and pupils were evacuated to the nearby Immaculate Conception Chapel on Maryhill Road, with parents contacted and asked to come and collect their children, the Daily Record reports.
