Plans have been lodged to install bottle return machines at a number of locations in Glasgow in light of new container recycling rules coming next year.
Firm Scotsman Group has submitted planning applications to erect the deposit return scheme facilities beside One O One shops in the Easterhouse , Drumchapel, Cardonald and Maryhill areas.
It comes as Scotland gets ready to roll out a deposit return scheme in March next year, which will see customers pay a 20p deposit when they buy a drink in a single-use container. They will get the money back when they return the empty bottle or can.
