A couple who've become parents for the first time feel 'ecstatic' after their little girl arrived into the world on New Year's Day.
Kayode and Racheal Alabi weren't expecting their newborn to arrive until January 19 but little Rereloluwa Joan had other plans and was welcomed into the Royal Alexandra Hospital at 2.43am on Sunday, January 1.
She's become the third Glasgow baby to be born in 2023. Mum and baby, who weighs 6lb 9, are both 'healthy and happy'.

The couple, who live in Paisley, are surrounded by their loved ones as they celebrate the new addition to the family.
Kayode told Glasgow Live: "There’s nothing to describe the feeling of holding our daughter for the first time. It was a feeling of excitement, surprise, joy and happiness.
"It’s the best gift and the most amazing thing that could happen at the beginning of the new year. We are grateful to God for giving us this amazing gift on today of all days.
"It’s a wonderful time to have the baby. She has come at the point in our life where we were looking forward to adding to the family.
"We are looking forward to parenting her."
