Glasgow man seriously injured in late-night Castlemilk attack

A man has been rushed to hospital after being attacked on a footpath in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow.

The 30-year-old man was assaulted in a late-night incident between Glenacre Drive and Arnprior Road on Thursday (November 24) at around 11.15pm.

He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries to his arm and hand where he has received treatment.

Police Scotland has now launched an investigation and is appealing for anyone with information about the attack to contact them.

Detective Constable Glenn Clark of Cathcart Police Station said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have seen or heard any disturbance in the area to get in touch.

“You can call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 3631 of November 24, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
