One Twitter user wrote: "#GBBO really ? #James went out and you let #carol stay ? What are you thinking?"

Another said: "James was a true icon #GBBO."

And a third wrote: "Also James didn’t deserve to go. He had one bad week whereas there is others who have been consistently s***. #GBBO"

More comments read: "So sad that James has gone #GBBO"

While others said: "Also how on God's green Earth has James been kicked out but not Caorl who's been on the ropes for three weeks????"

One commented: "I hate that Carole is still there when James was way better in most of the challenges."

Meanwhile, one Twitter user noted: "Carole a bit lucky there? Feels like keeping her over James is one with the audience in mind there. #GBBO"

Others added: "I like Carole but she deserved to leave more than James imo #GBBO"

Another stated: "I honestly thought Carole was going this week. Didn't expect James and Rebs to go yet #GBBO"

And finally, one concluded: "Soz but don’t understand how James has left and Carole is still there…#GBBO"

Glaswegian music teacher Kevin is still in the running for the coveted Bake Off crown, and you can root for him in the next episode of the Channel 4 show, airing on Tuesday, October 11 at 8pm.
