A man has been rushed to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Glasgow.

Emergency and rescue crews raced to the scene on Edinburgh Road at the Baillieston Interchange at around 10pm late last night (June 8).

Police Scotland can confirm a 61 year-old was taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, but his current condition remains unknown, the Daily Record reports.

Images from the scene show a major emergency response, including two fire crews, one ambulance and a police car.

A small black car was spotted on its roof after completely flipping and it appears to have collided with barriers at the traffic lights.

Police officers and fire crew can be seen surveying the damage and debris, as the road remained closed.

Speaking to the Record, one eyewitness said: "We were just around the corner when we heard a loud bang and by the time we got round there emergency services were already arriving. The man was quickly put into a neck brace and looked in a pretty bad way."
