Detectives are appealing for information after a car was involved in a crash in Glasgow, less than two hours after being stolen from the driveway of a home in Edinburgh.
The white Audi Q7 was stolen from Mossend Gardens, West Calder at around 4am on Tuesday, July 26. Around 5.50am, Glasgow police officers received a report of a crash involving the same vehicle and a parked car on Burnbrae Street, Springburn.
Police have established that the culprit exited a blue Audi Q series and entered the Edinburgh property before stealing the keys and making off with the white Audi Q7.

They have launched an appeal for witnesses to the crash in Glasgow to come forward.
Detective Constable Adam Gow of CID in West Lothian said : “Our enquiries so far have revealed that a blue Audi Q series entered Mossend Gardens at around 4am, a man exited the vehicle, made his way into a property, stole the keys and made off with the white Audi Q7. Both vehicles left the area together.
“At around 5.50am, we received a report of a crash involving the white Audi Q7 and a parked car in Burnbrae Street, Springburn.
“We are appealing to anyone who may information as to who stole the vehicle from West Calder, or who witnessed the crash in Glasgow to come forward.
“If you were in these areas and have private CCTV or captured anything on dash cam footage, I would ask that you get in touch.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0453 of 26 July, 2022.”
