Glasgow city centre flat windows shake during explosion scene for Batgirl

A Glasgow resident has filmed a dramatic explosion scene for Batgirl outside his flat.

Nick Kewney, who lives on Ingram Street was filming the set from his window last night when the fake explosion happened, shaking his windows due to the force.

Production crews have been filming in the city centre since Tuesday (March 1) and will continue until March 11.

The entire film is being shot in the city after Glasgow City Council shelled out £150,000 to secure the production.

Earlier this month, the first footage emerged of Michael Keaton's Batman filming scenes for the HBO Max film.

The Hollywood star was shooting under the Kingston Bridge suited up as the Gotham vigilante in the same suit he wore in both Batman and Batman Returns.

JK Simmons has also been spotted on set by passersby as he prepared to film scenes on Virginia Street in the Merchant City area.

Batgirl sees Simmons, 67, return as Gotham City PD Commissioner Jim Gordon - a role he first portrayed in 2017's Justice League.
