The countdown to TRNSMT 2023 is on meaning it's only a few weeks until thousands (and thousands) of people make their way to Glasgow Green.
Artists such as Niall Horan, who has just released his new album The Show today (June 9), alongside The 1975 and George Ezra will also be making their way to the east end, taking to the stage to perform their best hits.
But rather than just talk about the big artists, we wanted to take a look at who will be taking to the stage that are from Glasgow.

So from chart toppers to rising stars, here’s the top 10 artists from Glasgow that shouldn’t be missed.
What Glasgow artists are playing TRNSMT 2023?
Joesef
Raised in Garthamlock in the West of Glasgow, Joesef will be taking to the main stage at TRNSMT after rising to fame with his alternative-soul tunes that you can’t help but dance to. He played his first ever show at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in 2019, before going on to win Best Breakthrough Artist at the Scottish Music Awards.
Declan Welsh & The Decadent West
The indie rock quartet played TRNSMT’s King Tut’s Stage back in 2021, and will be back with a bang at this year’s festival where they’ll be on Friday’s Main Stage. The band, originally from East Kilbride, recently announced their new album, “2”, which is set to be released in September.
Lucia and The Best Boys
Another TRNSMT alumni is Lucia and The Best Boys, who performed on the River Stage back in 2021. A mainstay in Glasgow’s music scene, Lucia has been hailed as one of Scotland’s best live performers.
Catch her on the King Tut’s stage as part of Sunday’s line-up.
Cloth
Cloth are a two-piece, made up of twins Rachael & Paul Swinton from Glasgow. The duo were featured on the soundtrack for BBC’s hit show Normal People and took to the stage at last year’s Connect festival before debuting their first album ‘Secret Measure’ this May.
Look out for them at the River Stage on Friday at TRNSMT.
Slix
Originally from Inverclyde, five-piece Slix started out as a band at Clydeview Academy. The band will be playing their biggest gig yet at TRNSMT’s River Stage following a crazy year, which saw them perform with fellow Scots rockers The View, and their single ‘With You’ featuring on reality show Made in Chelsea.
The Joy Hotel
The Joy Hotel are a seven piece alt-rock band formed in the heart of the east end of Glasgow in 2019. With around 40 years of music experience between them, the band have several thousand views on their YouTube channel and are dubbed as one of Scotland’s most exciting new bands.
Hayley Zalassi
Spending time in Ibiza playing her high-energy DJ sets, Hayley Zalassi will be swapping Spain for her home city, taking to the much-loved Boogie Bar on Saturday to get TRNSMT-goers dancing. Hayley has a residency at the iconic Sub Club, so if you want a warm up before her festival show, you know where to find her.
Terra Kin
Voted Scottish Act of the Year 2023, Lanarkshire-born Terra creates a lovely mix of jazz, ambient and folk. Her debut four-track EP “Too Far Gone”, and she’s been dubbed one to watch at this year’s festival.
You can catch her on the River Stage on Saturday.
9. Uninvited
The four-piece girl group was formed in 2020 after a series of chance meetings on public transport across Glasgow. Inspired by bands like Haim, Fleetwood Mac and The 1975, the group performed at the world-famous BBC 1 Live Lounge last year.
You’ll catch them on the River Stage on Sunday.
10. Nico Balducci
Known for his energetic sets, Italian/Scottish Nico has become one of Glasgow’s most-loved DJs. Nico, who has previously featured alongside high-profile artists such as Michael Bibi, Solardo and Camelphat, recently dropped his first EP with his new label Lapsus Music, where he’s joined by Supernova who provide epic remixes.
Nico will be getting the crowds jumping at TRNSMT’s Boogie Bar on Saturday.
