Glasgow has been named in the top ten of UK cities with the most picturesque homes on the market, according to new research.
Experts at Alan Boswell Landlord Building Insurance utilised Pinterest to uncover the British cities with the most picturesque homes. To do this, the experts analysed the total number of home-related pins and boards to assign a final ‘aesthetic home score’ for each city.
London came out on top, and Edinburgh was joint fourth with Manchester. Glasgow scored a 6.12 out of ten in aesthetic home score, and came tenth out of 15 on the list.

As Edinburgh has taken the more traditional route of homes, with Georgian apartments and neoclassical mansions, Glasgow has definitely stepped it up in terms of modernity.
A couple of properties that have featured on Glasgow Live recently certainly show the modern aspects of homes mixed with traditionalist features. One home is this luxurious Art Deco flat in the desirable Broom Estate of Newton Mearns.
Glasgow Live reported earlier this month that the stunning two bedroom penthouse apartment has hit the market, housed in the exclusive Sandringham Court development.
Extending to 1381 square feet, the flat boasts an impressive sitting room, private terrace, kitchen and double bedrooms with ensuite showers. The property also benefits from a high level of security with controlled door entry system, concierge service and a lift servicing all levels.
Offers over £595,000 are currently being accepted for this home - but it's not the only one catching people's eyes. This stunning blonde sandstone villa situated in the ideal location of Glasgow's south side is also on sale.
Located on Overdale Street, number 67 is described as a "spectacular blonde sandstone mid terraced villa" boasting not only incredible décor, but a spacious and flexible living accommodation finished to the highest standard.
And safe to say it's certain to impress with it currently on the market for 'offers over' £450,000.
Glasgow Live also reported on this home in November, and the whole article can be viewed on our website.
There are lots of properties readily available across the city of Glasgow, and who wouldn't want to live in one of the most picturesque cities in the UK? It's a no-brainer.
