Director Ridley Scott is set to return with the sequel to his Oscar-winning film 'Gladiator' this November. The director on Monday, treated fans to interesting first-look photos from the film that gave us a peek at the fim's lead stars and their characters in the upcoming historical drama.
According to the newly revealed plot details, Connie Nielsen returns as Lucilla in this sequel set years after the events of the original film. Paul Mescal features as her son, Lucius, who returns to Rome amid new political turmoil. As Lucius grapples with resentment towards his mother, for being sent away to Numidia, on Africa's northern coast, for his protection, he must also take on the political landscape which has shifted under the reign of Emperor Caracalla (Fred Hechinger) and Emperor Geta (Joseph Quinn).
