Leeds United were unable to reach the quarter-final stage of the FA Cup for the first time since 2003 as they dropped out of the competition in a 2-0 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The opening goal came from Cottagers midfielder Joao Palhinha who let loose a wonderful 30-yard effort which bent past Whites goalkeeper Illan Meslier who was caught off his line following a poor Tyler Adams pass.
But just before half-time, Leeds had their best chance of the first 45 minutes to level the scores but Georginio Rutter was unable to direct a great header past Marek Rodak with only the post standing between him and his first Leeds goal.

Despite a strong start to the second half, Javi Gracia's men quickly found themselves 2-0 down when Manor Solomon's curling effort from outside of the box flew across Meslier and into the far corner.
The Whites were determined to overcome that setback however, but chances for Brenden Aaronson, Weston McKennie and Jack Harrison all went near-but-not-near-enough in a five-minute period.
The defeat means that Leeds can now focus on the Premier League without distractions as the race to escape relegation heats up even further.
