Give disability certificate at doorstep: Madras high court

CHENNAI: The Madras high court on Tuesday directed health professionals to visit those who have applied for disability certificates at their homes to carry out assessments, especially of mental health, instead of asking them to visit crowded government hospitals.

Underscoring a disabled person's right to get disability certificate without any hassle, Madras high court has directed health professionals to do mental health diagnosis of applicants at their doorsteps.
