- Senior leaders at the Girl Scouts are reportedly displeased after a New Jersey troop partnered with a local weed dispensary to sell their cookies.
- The troop set up a booth outside Daylite Dispensary in Mount Laurel last month, with the dispensary owner, Steve Cassidy, reporting it as a massive success.
- Cassidy stated that the idea stemmed from the connection between cannabis use and “munchies,” and he had previously been turned down by the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey for a similar partnership.
- Despite the initial success, a planned return sale for the troop at the dispensary was subsequently cancelled.
- The Girl Scout cookie season runs from January through April and includes a new Exploremores flavor this year.
