Ange Postecoglou has warned Giorgos Giakoumakis that he will deal him if he sees a shift in attitude at Celtic.
Record Sport exclusively revealed earlier this week the Greek striker could be heading for the Parkhead exit after contract negotiations broke down. It's been a busy day at Parkhead as Peter Lawwell returns to the club as non-executive chairman. The 63-year-old spent almost two decades in his previous role during a trophy-laden spell for his boyhood heroes.
The Parkhead side won 29 trophies during his time as chief executive and he is now back at the club. They have also been unveiling Yuki Kobayashi as a Celtic player after the defender's arrival from Vissel Kobe. Postecoglou says he leaves the contract side of it to players and their representatives - but is concerned about what he sees on the training ground. When asked about our story and how he'll handle the situation with Giakoumakis he responded: "I don't have those kind of discussions and what I deal with is what I see every day.
"How a player trains and presents himself here, that is what I deal with. If I see there is any shift there or people are unhappy, or have some issues, I'll deal with it. Right now, all I see is the players here training and committed to us as a football club. That is all that concerns me.
"Beyond that, with there contracts, they have representatives who look after them. If there are any issues, they'll come across my desk. But that is in the background. What's more important to me is what I see everyday. If I am happy with it, all good, if not I'll deal with it then."
