A digitally altered video appearing to show Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni delivering a fiery speech about Israel has resurfaced online, despite Meloni not attending the 2026 United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The viral clip presents Meloni as accusing Israel of 'crossing the red line', condemning the killing of Palestinian civilians and announcing that Italy would support European sanctions against Israel. But the supposed UN appearance does not match what actually happened at this year's assembly.
